General Information

This species is very similar to the Clouded Yellow and Berger's Clouded Yellow.

Overwinters as Doesn't overwinter in the UK.

Wingspan: M: 52-56mm, F: 52-62mm
Foodplant(s): Lucerne (Medicago sativa), clovers (Trifolium spp.)
Flying: Two/three generations, May-June, July-early September and October
UK Presence: Immigrant
National status: Uncommon/Rare

Habitat

Coastal cliffs and open downland.

Regional Information

Recorded in 4 (1.5%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.

Last recorded in August 1957
