General Information

This is one of the 'longhorn' moths, so called as the male has antennae three times the length of the forewings, the female around half this length.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.

Wingspan: 15-20mm
Foodplant(s): Field Scabious (Knautia arvensis), Small Scabious (Scabiosa columbaria)
Flying: One generation, June-July
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Nationally Scarce B
