General Information

The forewing pattern and contrasting comparatively clear white ground colour are characteristic of this species.


Wingspan: c. 20 mm.
Foodplant(s): birches (Betula spp.)
Flying: One generation, May-July
National status: Common

Habitat

Woodland and heathland.

Regional Information

Recorded in 20 (7.4%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
