General Information

This is a very variable, autumn-flying species.

Both sexes come to light.

Wingspan: 15-19mm
Foodplant(s): oaks (Quercus spp.), Hazel (Corylus avellana), hawthorns (Crataegus spp.), Hornbeam (Carpinus betulus), birches (Betula spp.)
Flying: One generation, July-October
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common
