General Information

Pupates in leaf litter on in loose soil.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an egg.
Both sexes come to light.

Forewing length: 13-15mm.
Foodplant(s): Grey Willow (Salix cinerea), willows (Salix spp.), Aspen (Populus tremula)
Flying: One generation, July-August
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common

Habitat

Wet woodland, marshland, fens, heathland and other damp areas.

Regional Information

Recorded in 47 (17.4%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
