Pupates in loose soil.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.

Forewing length: 17-19mm.
Foodplant(s): Primrose (Primula vulgaris), sallows (Salix spp.), Dogwood (Cornus sanguinea), birches (Betula spp.), broadleaved shrubs
Flying: One generation, late June-early August
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Local

Habitat

Damp open broadleaved woodland, carr woodland, bushy fens, parks and gardens.

Regional Information

Recorded in 3 (1.1%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.

Last recorded in July 2004
