General Information

Pupates in a silk-girdle attached to a leaf or in moss.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.
Both sexes readily come to light, sometimes in numbers.

Forewing length: 11-14mm.
Foodplant(s): Field Maple (Acer campestre)
Flying: Two generations, mid May-mid June and late July-August
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Nationally Scarce B

Habitat

Woodlands with field maple on a chalky strata.
