General Information

Pupates in leaf litter.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an egg.
Both sexes come to light but in small numbers only.

Forewing length: 9-10mm.
Foodplant(s): Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa)
Flying: One generation, May-early July
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common

Habitat

Established hedgerows.

Regional Information

Recorded in 14 (5.2%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.

Last recorded in June 2022
