General Information

This species has a distinctive broad reddish area in the middle of the forewing.


Wingspan: 18-20 mm.
Foodplant(s): oaks (Quercus spp.), broadleaved trees, Alder (Alnus glutinosa)
Flying: One generation, June-July
National status: Local

Habitat

Oak woodland, heathland, grassland and fens.

Regional Information

Recorded in 20 (7.4%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
