General Information

This species is characterised by its pale brown or reddish-brown ground colour mixed with pale grey. It can be distinguished from C.rosaceana by the strongly developed median fascia in the forewing.


Wingspan: 16-22 mm.
Foodplant(s): Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale)
Flying: One generation, June-September
National status: Common

Habitat

Open grassy areas.
