General Information

This is the smallest of the Adelinae found in the UK. It has a distinctive pale dorsal spot in the centre of the the forewing.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.
Flies during the day

Wingspan: 8-11mm.
Foodplant(s): Germander Speedwell (Veronica chamaedrys)
Flying: One generation, May-June
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common

Habitat

Grassland and roadside verges.

Regional Information

Recorded in 25 (9.3%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
