General Information

The wings of this species vary from off-white to light brown and are usually dusted with darker scales. Only the outer third of each wing is split into plumes but the wings are usually so tightly rolled at rest that they look solid. A dark central spot on the forewing is usually visible.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an adult.
Both sexes readily come to light, sometimes in numbers.
Often disturbed during day
