This is the largest and easiest of the three UK Phycitodes to identify.


Wingspan: 22-27 mm.
Foodplant(s): Spear Thistle (Cirsium vulgare)
Flying: One generation, July-August
National status: Common

Habitat

Heathland, fens, marshes and gardens.

Regional Information

Recorded in 52 (19.3%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
