General Information

This moth has a quite unusual resting posture with its body raised up on its forelegs.


Wingspan: 18-23 mm.
Foodplant(s): Greater Bird's-foot-trefoil (Lotus pedunculatus)
Flying: One generation, July-August
National status: Common

Habitat

Gardens, heathland, woodland, fens, grassland and scrub.
