General Information

This moth has a characteristic greyish-white ground colour and contrasting median fascia. The forewing colour can range from whitish-grey to brownish-grey and the darker markings do vary in intensity.

Flies during the day

Wingspan: 15-22 mm.
Foodplant(s): Bramble (Rubus fruticosus), birches (Betula spp.), oaks (Quercus spp.), broadleaved trees, herbs, grasses
Flying: One generation, April-June
National status: Common
