General Information

This species is quite easily confused with other Agonopterix species and genital dissection is usually necessary for a definitive identification.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an adult.
Both sexes come to light.

Foodplant(s): Common Hogweed (Heracleum sphondylium), Cow Parsley (Anthriscus sylvetris), Rough Chervil (Chaerophyllum temulentum), umbellifers (Apium spp.)
Flying: One generation, July-May (hibernates)
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common
