General Information

This species is difficult to distinguish from the similar species without genital examination.

Foodplant(s): Apple (Malus domestica), hawthorns (Crataegus spp.), pears (Pyrus spp.)
Flying: Two generations, May-June and July-August

National status: Common

Habitat

Hedgerows, gardens, heathland, woodland and fens.

Regional Information

Recorded in 48 (17.8%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.

Last recorded in June 2022
