General Information

This species can be readily distinguished from the Small Skipper as the undersides of the clubbed antenna are black (the Small Skipper's are orange).

Overwinters as Overwinters as an egg.

Foodplant(s): Cock's-foot (Dactylis glomerata), grasses
Flying: One generation, July-August

Habitat

Tall, dry grassland in sunny locations.

Regional Information

Recorded in 202 (74.8%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
