General Information

Pupates deep underground.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.
Male readily comes to light, sometimes in numbers. Female not.

Forewing length: 23-32mm.
Foodplant(s): Pedunculate Oak (Quercus robur), Sessile Oak (Quercus petraea)
Flying: One generation, late April-June
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Local

Habitat

Mature oak woodland.

Regional Information

Recorded in 2 (0.7%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.

Last recorded in July 1976
