General Information

Pupates in loose earth.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.
Both sexes readily come to light, sometimes in numbers.

Forewing length: 12-15mm.
Foodplant(s): herbaceous plants, Wild Marjoram (Origanum vulgare), Wood Sage (Teucrium scorodonia), Horseshoe Vetch (Hippocrepis comosa), Yarrow (Achillia millefolium), Mugwort (Artemesia vulgaris), stonecrops (Sedum spp.)
Flying: Two generations, June-July and August-September

Habitat

Almost exclusively coastal.
