Pupates in a stem of the foodplant.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an egg.
Both sexes come to light but in small numbers only.

Forewing length: 11-16mm.

Flying: One generation, early August-mid September

Reedbeds and other areas with reeds.

Recorded in 54 (20%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
