Pupates in leaf litter.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.
Both sexes come to light.
Often disturbed during day

Forewing length: 13-16mm.
Foodplant(s): oaks (withered fallen leaves) (Quercus spp.), Beech (Fagus sylvatica), Bramble (Rubus fruticosus)
Flying: One generation, June-early August

Habitat

Broadleaved woodland, scrub, heathland, fens, grassland and gardens.

Regional Information

Recorded in 100 (37%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
