Pupates in plant debris.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.
Both sexes come to light.

Forewing length: 14-19mm.
Foodplant(s): Gorse (Ulex europaeus), Broom (Cytisus scoparius), Petty Whin (Genista anglica)
Flying: One/two generations, June-August and September-October
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common

Habitat

Heathland, moorland, open woodland, scrub and shingle beaches.

Regional Information

Recorded in 6 (2.2%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
