This species is very similar to E. sticticana.

Wingspan: 18-23 mm.
Foodplant(s): thistles (Carduus spp.)
Flying: Two generations, May-July and September
National status: Common

Habitat

Uncultivated ground, rough meadows, hillsides, coastal cliffs and open woodland.

Regional Information

Recorded in 29 (10.7%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.

Last recorded in June 2021
