General Information

This is a very variable species with a ground colour from white/yellow to reddish-brown.


Wingspan: male 15-22mm, female 17-24mm.
Foodplant(s): herbaceous plants
Flying: One/two overlapping generations, May-September
National status: Common

Habitat

Wet woodland, marshes, bogs and coastal saltings.

Regional Information

Recorded in 80 (29.6%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
