This species is the only white-legged member of the genus found in the UK. Even so, it can easily be mistaken for a faded specimen of the common S. bipunctidactyla.
Sea-cliffs, sandhills, grassland and other chalky or dry pastures.
Recorded in 2 (0.7%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
