General Information

Adults are often flying some distance from the host plant.

The larvae form a pear-shaped silken case, initially on the underside of a leaf, moving its case to an angle of twigs to over-winter.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.

Wingspan: 10-12mm.
Foodplant(s): oaks (Quercus spp.)
Flying: One generation, July-August
National status: Local

Oak woodland.

Recorded in 63 (23.3%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
