General Information

This species can be distinguished from P. sorbi and P. mespilella by the food plant.


Wingspan: 6-8mm
Foodplant(s): hawthorns (Crataegus spp.), pears (Pyrus spp.), Quince (Cydonia oblonga)
Flying: Two generations, May and August
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common
