General Information

This moth has a bronzy brown forewing with a narrow, pale yellowish fascia.

 

The larvae produce a long irregular slender gallery.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.

Wingspan: 4-5mm
Foodplant(s): Alder (Alnus glutinosa)
Flying: Two generations, May and August
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Local

Regional Information

Recorded in 17 (6.3%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.

Last recorded in October 2022
