General Information

This species has a wide range of variation in the forewing markings and their colouration.

Flies during the day

Wingspan: 12-16mm.
Foodplant(s): thymes (Thymus spp.), Common Sea-lavender (Limonium vulgare), Thrift (Armeria maritima), clovers (Trifolium spp.)
Flying: Two generations, June and August
National status: Local

Habitat

Coastal areas, grassland and heathland.
