General Information

This species is one of three similar, mostly white with yellow/brown black edged markings, Acer-feeding Phyllonorycters.

 

The chevrons of this species often merge into one another.

 

The larvae produce a rounded leaf mine, between leaf veins.

Foodplant(s): Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus)
Flying: Two generations, May and August
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common
