General Information

Pupates in leaf litter.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.
Both sexes come to light.

Forewing length: 14-18mm.
Foodplant(s): Common Reed (Phragmites australis), Reed Canary-grass (Phalaris arundinacea)
Flying: One generation, June-August
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Local

Habitat

Fens, marshes, coastal fens and reedbeds.

Regional Information

Recorded in 56 (20.7%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
