General Information

Pupates in leaf litter.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.
Both sexes come to light.

Forewing length: 16-19mm.
Foodplant(s): Common Reed (Phragmites australis), Purple Moor-grass (Molinia caerulea), Reed Canary-grass (Phalaris arundinacea), broadleaved grasses
Flying: One generation, June-July
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Local

Habitat

Marshland, damp heaths, coastal vegetated shingle, fens, heathland and scrub.

Regional Information

Recorded in 35 (13%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
