General Information

This is a pale looking moth with a grey-white ground colour and a yellow-orange head and collar.

 

The larvae mine in the bark of Broom.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.

Wingspan: 7-8mm.
Foodplant(s): Broom (Cytisus scoparius)
Flying: Two overlapping generations, June-August
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common

Heathland and grassland.
