General Information

This is a small, all-white species. 

The larvae produce a white narrow mine from the leaf tip down. The mine fills the leaf width.


Wingspan: 11-12 mm
Foodplant(s): grasses
Flying: One generation, May-August

Habitat

Wide range of grassland habitats including salt-marshes.

Regional Information

Recorded in 39 (14.4%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.

Last recorded in June 2023

Recorded date range (Adult): 06 May to 15 August
