General Information

This is a distinctively plain-looking species with creamy forewings.

 

Pupates in leaf litter.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an egg.
Both sexes readily come to light, sometimes in numbers.

Forewing length: 14-16mm.
Foodplant(s): Common Reed (Phragmites australis)
Flying: One generation, July-August
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Local

Habitat

Reed beds.
