General Information

Pupates on the ground or in leaf litter.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.
Both sexes come to light.

Forewing length: 13-16mm.
Foodplant(s): Reed Canary-grass (Phalaris arundinacea), Reed Sweet-grass (Glyceria maxima), cultivated pampas-grasses (Cortaderia spp.), grasses
Flying: One generation, late June-August
UK Presence: Resident

Habitat

Fens, damp woodland and other marshy places.

Regional Information

Recorded in 52 (19.3%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
