Pupates in loose soil.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an egg.
Both sexes come to light but in small numbers only.

Forewing length: 19-22mm.
Foodplant(s): mallows (Malva spp.), hollyhocks (Althaea spp.)
Flying: One generation, September-early November
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common

Habitat

Rough weedy places and gardens.

Regional Information

Recorded in 57 (21.1%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
