General Information

This species can be distinguished from E. bilunana by the grey general appearance of the forewing and the comparatively solid and sharply defined triangular patch on the dorsum.


Wingspan: 13-16 mm.
Foodplant(s): birches (Betula spp.), sallows (Salix spp.)
Flying: One generation, July-October
National status: Common
