General Information

This species is similar to A.geminana but is generally larger and differs in having a well-developed pre-tornal marking.


Wingspan: c.15-20 mm.
Foodplant(s): heaths (Erica spp.), birches (Betula spp.)
Flying: One/two generations, May-June and July
National status: Local

Habitat

Low-lying wet moorland, mosses and heaths, usually where scattered birches are found.

Regional Information

Recorded in 1 (0.4%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
