General Information

This moths has a white ground colour with an ocherous suffusion. Some darker variations have a more yellow appearance.

This species has a much narrower forewing than the similar species A.cnicana.


Wingspan: 12-19 mm.
Foodplant(s): Yarrow (Achillia millefolium), knapweeds (Centaurea spp.)
Flying: One generation, May-August
National status: Local

Habitat

Rough open ground, scrub, open woodland, heathland, waste ground.

Regional Information

Recorded in 38 (14.1%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
