General Information

This is a quite distinctive member of the Depressariinae.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an adult.
Both sexes readily come to light, sometimes in numbers.

Foodplant(s): Hemlock (Tsuga heterophylla)
Flying: One generation, August-May (hibernates)
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common

Habitat

Roadsides, waste ground, marshes and river sides.

Regional Information

Recorded in 108 (40%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
