This species is characterised by its small size and bright orange-yellow colouration.

Flies during the day

Flying: One generation, July-August
National status: Common

Habitat

Grassland and chalk downs.

Regional Information

Recorded in 21 (7.8%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.

Last recorded in August 2022
