General Information

This moth has a bright ochreous-yellow ground colour with brown markings. It flies at dusk and dawn.


Wingspan: c. 15 mm.
Foodplant(s): oaks (Quercus spp.), hawthorns (Crataegus spp.)
Flying: One generation, May-July
National status: Common

Habitat

Deciduous woodland.

Regional Information

Recorded in 16 (5.9%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
