General Information

Roadside verges and waste ground. Metallic bronzy moth with white-tipped dark antennae. The larva builds a case from silk, resembling a razor shell in appearance.

Foodplant(s): Creeping Thistle (Cirsium arvense), Black Knapweed (Centaurea nigra)
Flying: One generation, July-August
National status: Common
