General Information

This moth is very similar to E. subbimaculella but has a darker head and a larger spot at the base of the forewing. All spots and the cilia are whiter.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.

Wingspan: 5-6mm.
Foodplant(s): oaks (Quercus spp.)
Flying: One generation, July

Woodland.
