General Information

Slightly glossy, less heavily marked forewing than similar species.


Wingspan: 18-22mm
Foodplant(s): Cow Parsley (Anthriscus sylvetris), Rough Chervil (Chaerophyllum temulentum), Hemlock (Tsuga heterophylla), Common Hogweed (Heracleum sphondylium)
Flying: One generation, July-August

Habitat

Open grassland, damp flood-meadows and marshes and other areas where the foodplant is found.

Regional Information

Recorded in 10 (3.7%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
