General Information

Pupates in a stem of the food plant.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an egg.
Both sexes come to light.

Forewing length: 20-24mm.
Foodplant(s): Reedmace (Typha latifolia), Lesser Reedmace (Typha angustifolia)
Flying: One generation, late July-late September
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common

Habitat

Fens, marshes, ponds, lakes and ditches.

Regional Information

Recorded in 65 (24.1%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
