Pupates in loose soil.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an egg.
Both sexes readily come to light, sometimes in numbers.

Grassland, fens, open woodland, scrub, heathland and gardens.

Recorded in 130 (48.1%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
