General Information

Pupates in a cocoon attached to a twig.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.
Both sexes come to light.

Forewing length: 9-11mm.
Foodplant(s): Downy Birch (Betula pubescens), Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa), Purging Buckthorn (Rhamnus cathartica), lime (Tilia spp.), broadleaved trees
Flying: One generation, May-June
UK Presence: Resident

Woodland and other wooded areas.

Regional Information

Recorded in 53 (19.6%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
